THE UNION PARLIAMENT.
(To the Editor.)
Stß,—lread with greab pleasure " Zamiel's remarks about tbe Union Parliament last) Saturday. The Literary Societies Union now numbers about eight hundred young men and women, aod tbe Union Parliament is comprised of bhe flower of tbe Societies. Some of the young persons are full of promise of future public usefulness, and the Union Parliament is their school or drill ground. Ib would therefore be a thousand pities if the single tax party in this Parliament did, as "Zamiel" fears they may, spoil the assembly. They are honest, earnest men desirous of the" community's betterment, bub unless bhey moderate their zeal they will eerbainly offend the gallery, 3nd bhen the Parliament would be killed. I hope they will heed 3*our "Zamiel's" warning as an impartial outsider. —I am, etc.,
F. G. Ewington, President Literary Societies Union.
