A bachelors' ball was held in fche Papakura Hall on Friday laßfc, and passed off successfully, the whole arrangomenta reflecting greafe crodib on fche promoters. The hall was tastefully decorated with flags and evergroens, and dancing waa kept up with greab spirit) until an early hour, the music being well supplied by Raid and Davidson's string band. Tho M.C.'s were Messrs ,G. Mackey wd Somerfield, who fulfilled their duties in- a very efficient manner. Refreshments were bountifully supplied.
