COROMANDEL PROPRIETARY FREEHOLD.
Sharea in this syndicate are being steadily taken up, 34 having been already subscribed for at £100 each. The property consists of 555 acres ab Tiki, Coromandel. ALPHA G.M. COMPANY. Ab 2 p.m. fco-day, an extraordinary general meeting, of the Alpha Goldmining Company (no liability), was held at Mr H. Gilfillan'a office, Mr Barnes presiding, in order to consider a proposal to dispose of the Company's mine holding and property. Rl r" Devore read the proposed deed of disposal and it was resolved to authoiise the directors to dispose of the mine. The proposed terms include thab the present) shareholders are to receive 1J sharea in the English Company paid up to £1 for every share now held by them, and that the working capital shall be £30,000. GOLCONDA (Waitekauei.) The Golconda Special Claim, Waibekauri, was placed on the market this morning through Mr It. C. Greenwood, and meb with a very favourable reception. It adjoins the New Zealander, Waitekauri No. 4, and other licensed holdings. Of 100 shares, 50 aro retained by the promoters, and 50 offered to the public at £30 per eharo of 1,000 scrip. The property appears to be splendidly situated, and ib is stated that excellent prospects have already been obtained. The New Zealander line of reef is shown in the plan to have an easterly dip, and the VVaibekauri reef on the eastern side a westerly dip, from which it is concluded that) they will junction in the Golconda. WAITEKAURI SOUTH. A meeting of subscribers for shares in the Waitekauri South Goldmining Company was held ab the Chamber of Commerce this afternoon. Mr Blomfleld presided. Ib was agreed to form a company to be called the Waitekauri South Goldmining Company (no liability), with a capital of £14,700, equal to 70,000 shares ab 4a each. Mr Wai. Clarke was appointed manager, aba salary of £2 per week (without transfer fees), Mr G. V. Brimblecombe, auditor, the Bank of New Zealand banker, and the folio Ring gentlemen were elected directors :—Messrs W. R. Bloomfield. A. Kidd, J. H. Fleming, L. R. Northy, and A. Walker. The rules as submitted wore agreed to.
Welcome Find. — Tho first ordinary general meeting of shareholders in this Company was held at 3o'clock this afternoon, in Mr H. Gilfillan's office, when there wa3 a good attendance. Mr B. Kent presided, and stated that the object Waa to hold the statutory meeting of the Company, at which the directors required to be re-olecSed. In the matter of funds, he might state they had sufficienb'to pay for the machinery, finish the sinking, and leave a handsome amount in hand to proceed with the necessary works. The machinery he might state from personal knowledge was extremely good, and very suitable for the purposes of the company. He might also mention that sinking would commence to morrow. On the motion of Mr Ledingham, seconded by Mr Humphreys, it was resolved thab Mensra B. Kent, H. Brett, J. Cornish, Colonel Burton, Major George and Captain Smith were re-elected directors. A vote of thanks waa accorded the directors for past services.
