THE-LICENSING QUESTION.

Dcnedin, this day. A well-attended public meeting, called by tho Prohibition League, was held ab the Cifcy Hall to consider the Licencing Bills. Resolutions were carried protesting against the Government Bill on the ground that it would complicate the issues before tbe electors, peaces serious obstacles in the way of expressing the 'ecision of the electors, and in many cas;.-. desbroy the effect of tho poll; that it does not give complete effect to the no license vote, and deuiea the right of the majority to rule; also calling on the local M.H.R.'s to support the principles in Mr McNab's Bill.
