Gisborne, this day. At the Supreme Court in the civil case, Kirk and others v. the Phoenix Insurance Company, the jury after four hours' deliberation found for the plaintiffs for the full amount claimed, £500. la the case Charles Johnston v. the Union Company, claim for £300 for damages for injuries sustained while working on the Moa, Mr Rees appeared for the plaintiff and Mr DoLatour for the Company. The plaintiff was non-suited.
