At the Charitable Aid Board, yesterday, the estimates for the ensuing year were adopted, tbeamount required being £14,030, and after the subsidy and the income from bequests, etc., are deducted', £5,968, or £21 more than last year, will be required from the Canterbury local bodies. It was decided to establish a store for the distribution of rations, instead of sending tho recipients to'the retail contractor. The staff was re-arranged, and it was resolved to employ a female inspector, at a salary of £50 a year. The Hospital Board's estimated expenditure for the ensuing year totals £9,370.
