Wellinoton, this day. At the Anglican Synod, Archdeacon Fancourt, who presided, said the Feast of the Conversion of Sb. Paul (25th January), had been fixed by the Acting-Primate for the consecration of tho Bishop of Wellington. He said he had received a letter from tho Governor saying that it will give Lady Glasgow and himself much pleasure if the Acting-Primate, Bishops, Bishop - Designate, and ..Bishop of Salisbury would make Government House their quarters while in Ayeliington for consecration. -' He taontioried.bhats the dioceso had scarcely enough to offer to enable tho holder of the.office of Bishop to maintain tho' position he was expected to hold, the ne& income of see the beinEr only about £725. The late holder of the office, Bishop Hadfield, had written a letter to him, as President of the Synod, on this subjecb, in which he said an effort ought to be made to raise the income to £1,000 per annum.
