THE SHEARERS' STRIKE.

The local branch of the Workers' Union has issued a manifesto calling upon shearers to defond their rights againsb the attacks of the Pastoraiiste' Union, woolhawks and bloodhounds of combined monetary, institutions in the colonies.
Brisbane, this day.
The strike is officially declared V off' in tho Western district. The Chairman of the local camp states that the em bib-, tered condition of the men ia largely due to their failure to get work, and further outrages are probable. He attributes their loss of tho day to disaffection Rtnbng Unionists themselves. The Governmenb intend to relieve distress among the strikers.
