Dr/NHDiN, bhis day. The teachers of Obago on Friday night presented MrPebrie, bhe newly-appoinbed Chief Inspector for the Auckland Education Board, with a silver salver and silver tea service for his wife. All the speakers bore testimony to the value of his services, and credited him with raising the standard of education in Otago. Strong speeches were made in favour of equalising salaries and bbc Departmenb taking over inspectorate.
