POLICE COURT.—THIS DAY.
(Before Mr R. S. Bush, S.M.) Drunkenness.—William Montgomery and Norah Williams, who appoared for the fourth time on a charge of drunkenness since last January, were sent to Mount Eden Gaol for three months. Damage to Property.— Norah Williams was also charged with having maliciously broken a pane of glass of the value of £2 10s, of the property of Samuel Tooman, licensee of the Aurora Hotel.—Sergeanb Gamblo said the accused was passing up Victoria-street at about a-quartar to ten lasb evening, and when she came to the Aurora Hotel she deliberately put a stone through one of the windows.—The accused pleaded guilty, and waa fined 20s, and ordered to pay the damage, or in default one month's imprisonment with hard labour. Alleged Forging and Uttering.—The charge preferred against William Henry Smith was further adjourned, on the application of Mr O'Meagher, till the 24th inst., owing to the accused being wintlbound at Waiheke.—Mr Dufaur appeared for fche prosecution. Stray Cattle.—Thos. Pollock was fined ls and costs for allowing a horse to wander in Waterloo Quadrant* on the Bth inst.
