Ottawa, July 11. The Conference carried tho preferential trade resolutions fcty five to throe. The dissentient colonies were Mew South Wales, Now Zealand and Queensland. The United Empire Trade League claims that the Conference has endorsed its policy, and invites the delegates to a banquet. London, July 11. The " Standard " is of opinion thab the system of preferential duties would provo ruiuoua. Groat Kribian musb keep her ports open to food supplies. The " Timos " stays thab free trade gives little scope for favouring the colonies, and thinks thab ib would be dangerous to granb preferential rates.
