MASONIC NEWS.

LODGE ARA INSTALLATION.

Over a hundred brethren belonging to tho recognised Constitutions assembled lasb night in bhe Freemasons' Hall bo witness the 52nd installation of a Worshipful Master for Lodge Ara 348, I.C. There were 35 Fast Masters on the dais, representatives being presenb from Lodges Prince of Walfls, Eden, and VVaitetnaba, E.C.; St. Andrew and Ponsonby, SC; Lodge of Light (Thames), and Pierce (Waiuku), I.C. Bro. G. S. Graham and the officers of bhe Grand Lodge of England, Bro. W. J. Rees and the officers of the Grand Lodge, Irish Constitution, and the' principal officers of bhe Scottish Grand Lodge were also in attendance. Bro. Arthur Wright, P.M., officiated as Installing Master admirably, Bro. F. Whibbaker, P.M., being installed for a aecond term of office. The following officers were duly invested :— 1.P.M., Bro. A. Hanna.P.M.; 5.W.,8r0. C. Arnold ; J.W., Bro. G. Gribbin : D.C., Bro. 3. R. Hanna, P.M. ; organist, Bro. J. H. Philpobfc ; S.D., Bro. W. Blomfield; J.D., Bro. E. R. Piggott; Treasurer, Bro. A. Wrighb, P.M. ; Secretary, Bro. Brocli. P.M. ; Stewards, Bres. Bagley, Dawson, King, and F. Clark ; 1.6., Bro. H. Oxenham; and Tyler, Bro. E. Tonge. At the conclusion of the ceremony the brethren adjourned to the lower hall, where a well - spread table awaited them, Bro. King being caterer. The usual toasts were duly honoured, and an interesting musical programme was provided by the brethren present.
