STRIKES ON TERROR REEF,
THE VESSEL BADLY DAMAGED.

Invercargill, this day. Hatchk'S ketch Gratitude has arrived at tho Bluff from Macquarries with a cargo of oil. On the way ehe called at the Auckland and Gampbell Islands to see if the Antarctic was about, and found the Norwegian lying in Perseverance Harbour of the latter group. Captain Brown, of the Gratitude boarded her and learnb from Captain Kristereen that on May 19th, during a severe gale,, the Antarctic struck Terror Beef (where she*lay for bwo days), springing her mainmaeb and losing all her top hamper, also two anchors. Ho commissioned the Gratitude to cable to tho Melbourne agents immediately to arrange for the despatch of anchors, sundries, and a cargo of coal, having had an extra demand on his supply consequent upon the accident. The Gratitude is waibing for orders, and on her arrival at Campbell's Island Captain Kristersen expeebs to have repairs effected.
