SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT OXFORD.
A young man named Barr, aboub 22 years of age") was brought down to the Waikato Hospital about ten days ago, from Oxford. Barr had beeu bathing in one of the creeks, and dived into four feet of water. His head struck with considerable force against a rock in the bed of the stream, and he was reft of all consciousness. His companion took him out of the water and broughb him down to the Hospital. Dr. Kenny, on examination, found thab he had recoived sevei-o injury at the top of the spinal column, and both hands and arms were paralysed. Barr was subjected to special treatment, and now, within ten days, is beginning to get the use of his hands. De. Kenny is in hopes of bia complete recovery in time.
