We are rcqueated by Miss Spilsbury to stato for tho benefit of the public who have taken so injurious an interest in her affairs, that the legal proceedings were instituted through wrong information and consequently stopped as she has received a written communication from the gentleman to whom she is engaged as to the reasons for his departure, being in the highest degree satisfactory. Though the public will be disappointed in the gratification of their curiosity, they may rest assured that the wedding is only a delayed event.
