The main roll of electors for tho Auckland City, which is now boing printed, will bo ready for examination, it is expected, nexb week. This roll alone contains aboub 11,000 names —an incroa6o of betweon 5,003 and 6,000 on tho roll prior to die en. frauchisomenb of women. The Registrars the various electoral disirics ara now busily engaged in compiling tho supplementary rolls.
Mr Jackson Palmer, candidate for Waitemata, addressed a meeting of oloctora at Dairy Flab on Wednesday, Mr Hardy being in bhe chair. Mr Palmer received a unanimous vobo of confidence, Last ovening ho addressed a largo meeting ab Wainui, Mr Brooks being in the chair, and received a vote of confidence again.
Mr R. Monk addressed tho Waitemata electors at Puhoi on Tuesday everting, thore b_lng a largo attendance. The candidate received a vote of thanks and confidence.
Wo aro informed thab the Auckland Licensed Victuallers' Association has derided not to exact any pledges in favour of the liquor traffic from candidates on tho public platform, A meeting of tho Association is to take place this afternoon with referenco to the selection of candidates to bo supported by the licensod victuallers.
