Messrs Hunter and Nolan report :— Sufficient horse feed, grain, and seeds have been brought forward for requirements. A steady demand existed ab.little or no alteration on tha previous week's values. We quote: Oats, 2a 8d to 2s 9d per bushel; maize on wharf, 2s 4d to 2s 6d ; ex store, 2s 6d to 2a 8d ; barley, 2s lOd ; bran, £3 5s per bon ; oaten chaff, £3 to £3 15s per ton. There has been much greater vitality in tho horse market. A larger number have been brought forward, and found ready purchasers at fully the previous wook's values. A larger number than usual were disposed of by auction. Competition was good throughout the palo, and nearly all tho lota wero cleared. Wo quote : Heavy draught from £15 to £26 10s ; medium, £11 5s to £20 ; light harness horsoa, £18; riding horses, £3 10a to £12 5s ; unbroken medium draughb colts, £15 to £20. A steady demand has existed for wool, hides, skins, tallow and bones, and tho previous week's prices sustained. Competition for a moderate catalogue ab the Durham Yards on Tuesday was good. We quoto : Ox hides, stout, 4d to 5d per Ib ; medium, 3d to 3i>i; cow and steer, lfd to 2Jd ; stag, Id to l|d ; calfskins, 2Jd to Id per Ib; tallow, 15s to 17s 6d per cwt; bones, £3 10.? to £3 15s per ton ; sheepskins, local, 3s Id to 5s 3d each ; country skins, Is Id to 3s Id each ; wool, ileecos (small packages), 6d to 6fci per Ib. There was an average number of sheap submitted on Tuesday, and tho previous week's prices ruled. Wethora sold ab from 13s 9d to 223 ; shorn wothors, 8s to 12* 6d ; ewes in wool, 10s to 15s 6d ; shorn, lls 9ri ; spring lambs, 7s to 13s. Pigs: Supply shorb, sold from 2id to 3d per Ib live weight; porkers, 26s ; hoavier weights up to £2 15s; aner», 5a 3d to 12* each.
