Christchurch, this day. At the R.M. Court to-day, Mr Beetham gave judgmenb in cases heard againsb Mr Eden George for allowing meetings bo be held on Sundays in bhe Tuam - sbreeb Hall, of which he is the lessee. The Magistrate said he did nob think tho Council could annex conditions to the license which the Legislature had not imposed. All the Court could do was to issue a license for a certain period, and should thoy refuse to issue there is an appeal given the applicant. Defendant had a license. It might be bad in part and good in p.irt. He could eliminate the bad and use the good. The information was dismissed.
