The Attorney-General on the Relation of Edmund Augustus Mackecunie v. the Chairman, Councillors and Inhabitants 0.1? the County oe Hobson,—This was a motion for a writ of injuncbion to issue, restraining defendants from leasing part of a cerbainroad wibhin bhe Hobson county.— Mr Cooper, for the plaintiff, said ib had been arranged bo allow this matter to stand over till after His Honor's return from Gisborne. Wright and Others v. Long and Others.—Motion for an ordo_' dismissing tho action as againsb certain oi tbe defendants.—Mr Buddlo askod that ibis mobion mighb be allowed to etand ovor. Ho did nob bhink that His Honor would be further troubled wibh the matter.
Emma Bycroft v. J. J. BvcEorr and Others.— This was an argument on a special case in regard to tho construction of a will, and was bofore Hia Honor on tho 12th July. It was a friendly suit broughb by tbe widow of John Bycrofb, lato of Onehunga, the testator, againsb the defendants, the children of the testator, and beneficiaries under the will. Tho question the Courb was aaked to decide was what share or inberesb tho defendants took.—Hia Honor gave judgmenb, and held thab tho widow and children take a joinb benanb uuder bho will, tho cosb of proceedings to bo paid out of tho estate.
