The Gourlay and Walton Musical Comedy Company, which commences its New Zealand tour at tbe Opera House this evening, cornea with very high credentials from Australia. Their last season in Adelaide extended over ben weeks, and throughout was one continued success. Messrs Gourlay and Walton are described as true comedians, nijd their career as loading artists is well known throughout the colonies. They havo judiciously selected a company of artisbs to support them, comprising Australia's popular favourites, and in their essay of tho characters allotted have made the parts entirely their own. The farcical comedy, "Skipped by the Light of the Moon," is one in which fun reigns supreme, and thero cannot be the slighbesb doubb that bhose who inbend visibing thia evening will have a very merry timo indeed. Full of music, songs, dances, bright dialogue and eccentricities, mirth should reign supreme. Tho characters are all in the hands of capable arbists. The company is numerically as well as artistically strong. An augmenbed orchestra will be under the baton of Geo. F. Pack. The scenery ia all new, being designed and painted by W. H. Pullford, and taken all in all tho arrangements are very complete, strictesb abtentioti boing paid to the minutest detail.
