Amongst the numerous deputations which waited on the Premier was one from the Waipipi district, and consisted of Messrs Harris aud M. J. F. Mellsop, Waiuku, who brought undor the notice of the Minister the necessity for a wharf at Toro Point. Mr Vickerman, of the Public Works Department, favourably reported on the urgency of the undertaking. After a full explanation by the deputation the flon. Mr Sadden acknowledged the reasonableness ot the request made, and promised to have the huui of £50 placed on the current exfciKiaf.es for the undertaking. The district will, therefore, ,ab an early date, obtain a public eonvonienco much required.
