Wancanui, this day. Major Sommerville is in receipt of a letter from the Defence Department re tha Association Meeting a. Trentham. The Railway Commissioners were requested to grant competitors free passes the samo as last year, if the Hinemoa is available, and the Department hope she may be. She will be laid on from Lytteltcn and Wellington, to convey Southern competitors. It is probable the meeting will bo postponed ten days later than advertised.
