London, Ocbober 23. Sir H. P. King, addressing a meeting of the Queensland Investmonb and Land Mortgage Company, aaid he wna surprised bhab the Brisbane mob had cheered the men who had lost the Company half-a--million sterling, and ho expressed the opinion thab bucli a demonstration was likely to stop the influx of capital into the colony. An eminent lawyer in London believes the judgment delivered by Sir Charles Lilley, Chief-Justice of Queensland, in the action brought by tho company against Sir Thos. Mcintosh and others will be maintained. Sir Samuel Griffiths and Sir Horace Davey had assisted the action aa they considered there waa a strong case against the colonial directors. Sir H. P- King expressed regret that the dispute had nob been sottled without recourse to law.
