THE CHORAL SOCIETY'S CONCERT.
The Choral Society has so many staunch supporters that ib may bo sure of a large audience this evoning, even although powerful attractions will be drawing many towards the City Hall. A glance at the programme will suffice to toll us the highclass nature of the items, and the reputation of the Choral Sucioty should be a guarantee that justice will be done to thorn. The programme includes things new as well as good. Mr A.-' Keeping will make bis first appearance under tbe Society's auspices, in Blumenthal's "Evening Song." Mr Stubbs will also mako a first appearance in "Margarita," and "X)n the Rolling Wave." Hiss Bleazard's name stands beneath two items, an arm, "Alar in bho Distance," with 'cello obligato, and a song with orchestral accompaniment, "Lovo is a Dream." A 'cello qunrtette by Messrs Paque and Baale, Miss Chew and Mr Coney, and a grand trio by Miss Yates and Messrs Kent and Beale. are among some of the numbers to be found on tho programme.
