ROAD BOARD ELECTIONS.
The annual Road Board elections in the Auckland Provincial District have been taking place during the present month. Appended are the results :— Avondale.— Messrs Elijah Astloy, John Bollard, Robt. Dakin, William Paganini, H. Hoffman, and Isaac Whymer. Remuera.— Messrs J. M. Lennox, W. F. Buckland, David Nolan, James Russell, and J. L. Wilson. Mount Rosktll. — Messrs Alexander Boyd, William John Conelly, Edward Sewell, James Henry Hayr. Thomas Billington, James William Carr. Otahuhu Road District.—The poll for five members of the Otahuhu Road Board resulted in the election of Messrs P. A. Vaile, James Atkinson, Robert Crawford, T. A. Brown, Patrick Kelly and Thomas Stringer. Mr A. J. Shackell was returning officer. At the first meeting of the newly elected Road Board held on May 13th, the following officers were unanimously elected ;— Chairman, Mr James Atkinson; Treasurer, Mr i J. A. Vaile; Secretary, Mr W. Lockhart. The Treasurer, Chairman, and Mr R. Crawford were authorised to sign cheques. Epsom.—The poll for the election of five members of the Epsom Road Board resulted in the election of Messrs S. Hesketh, W. S. Cochrane, John Andrew, Alfred Worrall, George Worrall, and Arthur Heather. Point Chevalier. —Messrs Geo. Duxfield, Joseph Hosken, John Oliver, Thomas Thwaites and John Wrennall have beon elected members of the Point Chevalier Road Board. Mount Albert.—The Mount Albert Koad Board election resulted in favour of Messrs J. R. Walters, T. J. Harbutt, J. W. James. W. H. Martin, and J, Walker. Eden Terrace.—Messrs Adam Porter, D. Menzies, G. Patterson, J. H. Garretc, and J. J. Jenkins were elected. Mount Eden.— W. R. Bridgman, W. H. Cooper, Thomas Hanson, Henry Hirst, and W. Keyes were elected. Arch Hill.—Messrs James Radchfle, Henry Thompson, C. S. Waddingham, T. Armstrong, and G. Keeling. Pckkatua. —Michael Lennan, Charles Jeffs, James Inglis, Ernest A. Frost, and George Green. Mount Wellington. — JUesers A. o. Thompson, A. Stewart, Adam Kay, Thoa. Morrin, Wm. Crowtber, and Col. Dawson have been elected members of the Mount Wellington Road Board. Pckekohe.—The election for the Pukekohe West Road Board resulted in Messrs T Pollock, F. Wightman, J. Kennedy, J. H Wright, W. J. Steen, T. Wilkinson, and G' Graham being elected. For the Pukekohe East Road Board Messrs T. J. Wallie, G. Ballard, W. Morgan, J. B. Brown, W. Sharp, T. Collins, W. Jones, J A Comrie, and 0. Drumgool were elecced i
