SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.
The annual meetings of householders in the Auckland educational district took place «n Aoril 25, and passed off very quietly, the business transacted being pretty generally confined to the reading and passing of the annual reports, and the election of ComSees for the ensuing year. The School Committees Election Act, 1891, as amended during the last session of Parliament, was found to work vary well. Tho following gentlemen were elected on the various Committees for the ensuing yeAuCKLASnCm\— Farrell, Blades, Crowe, Adams, Fairs, Tudehope. Duncan, Burns, and Sherson. Mr J. Blades was elected Chairman, and Mr R. JFarrell treasurer. Newton.— Mr J. M. White, Chairman ; Mr G Knight, Treasurer; Mr J. M. French, Secretary Mr G. Knight and Mr T.
