N.Z. TROTTING ASSOCIATION.
Ab the special meeting ot the New Zealand Trotting Association ab Christchurch a number of new rules were adopted as follows: —(1) All Trotting Clubs, and Metropolitan Clubs which place trotting events on their programmes, mu3b pay a subscription of £2 per annum to the Association. Country 'Clubs, racing under Metropolitan rules, which place trotting events on their programmes, must pay a subscription of £1 per annum. (2) A rule providing for the annual election of officers, to take place on the second Wednesday in July, the officers to consist of a President, Treasurer, and Executive Committee of five. No two members of one Club shall be eligible for election on the Committee. (3) At the commencement of every racing season Clubs forwarding programmes to be passed by the Association must send a balance-sheeb for the previous season. (4) No delegate will be allowed to vote whose Club's subscription ia more than three months in arrear. (5) Regular meetings of tho Association will be held quarterly instead of monthly. (6) A rule providing for the adoption of totalisator rules as adopted at the lnsb meeting of the Racing Conference, with the exceptipn that in tho rulo stating " thab in case a Governmenb tax i 3 charged Clubs shall deduct the said charge from the dividend," the word " shall " is altered to " may."
