Loubet declares that prior to the < explosion at M. Very's restaurant, the latter was warned of the impending outrage. He also siys that although the police had been doubled, they were quite helpless against such suddenness as attended the outrage. Even the Government was powerless, as \ everything had been done with incom- - prehensible coolness. The only resource was to make further arrests. ] At the residences of the judges who 3 heard the charges against the Anar- J chists, the guard has been increased, j Many residents in Paris are asking for ] police protection. ' Berlin, April 29. < The local press continue to ridicule j the verdict of the French judges, and assert that the country is going down : hill. Rome, April 29. Three hundred Anarchists have been arrested in Northern Italy. The Government hasdissolved twenty Anarchist Workmen's Societies in various parts of the country. Bombs have been exploded in various places without effect. At Faenza seven arrests were effected, and at Rome three. Madrid, April 29. Many arrests have been made at Barcelona. A quantity of arms and Anarchist manifestos have been seized.
