The chairman of the Tramwa.y Company said the directors had made searching inquiries as to the adaptability of electrical motors, and were satisfied fchab if they adopted electricity, nob only would they increase the traffic, but.the receipts to the extent of £4,000 a year. If the Assets Company had reduced their indebtedness to that boc|y, the directors would have recommended tho electrical conversion, but an unfavourable reply had been received from that) tody.
