Drunkenness. — One first offender was fined 5s and costs, or the usual alternative, 24 hours' imprisonment. For the sumo offence Elizabeth Martin was fined 10a and costs or 48 hours'imprisonment. House of 111-Fame. — Elizabeth E. Lund was charged with keeping a house of illfatue in Abercrombie-streeb. —SergeantMujor Pratt stated the particulars, aud said the woman was a nuisance to the street. Her house was the haunt of all kinds of bad characters, and she was in the habit of using filthy language, and soliciting prostitution. —The woman pleaded guilty to keeping a house ot ill-ffime, but not to using bad language.—After hearing the evidence of Constable Ward, and Wm. Smith (a resident of Abercrombie-street), the Bench imposed a fine of £b, or one month's imprisonment.
