A dividend of 5 per cent, has been declared by the directora of the Coromandel Steamboat Company.

The Longburn Freezing Company has made a net profit on the year's operations of £989. A total of 76,400 carcases sheep were sent homo.

Bonus notes now being posted to policy holders in the Government Life Insurance Department, represent a total of £396,000 added to policies for reversionary bonuses, which can be held or surrendered for their cash value as each policy-holder may prefer.

The Gear Meat Company, Wellington, has again had a successful year. After liberally writing down its properties and machinery forwearand tearanddepreciation, providing for every loss, adding £1,000 to the reserve fund and carryingfonvard a little more than last year, the directors recommend the usual dividend of 10 per cenb.

The annual meeting of the Waiuku Steam Navigation Company was held at the head office, Waiuku, on Dec. 11. The Secretary read the report and balancesheet, which was adopted. The dividend declared was four shillings per share, carrying foward £472 15s sd. Capb. Makgill, in seconding the adoption, said id was the most favourable report ever issued by the Company. Mr George Makgill and Mr Scotb were elected directors for the coming year. Mr J. J. Seed was elected auditor.

The annual meeting of the Oamaru Wool' len Factory Company was held on Dec. 14The balance-sheet showed a profit for the year- of about £2,700, and the directors have decided to devote this to wiping off the guarantee fund, which would be now almost extinguished. The prospects of the Company were spoken of in a very hopeful manner, and ib is expected that next year the directors will be able to declare a dividend.
