Sydney, December 6. In the cricket match, New South Wales v. Lord Sheffield's team, the local men batted first, making 74, Bannerman being the highest scorer with 25. The English made 94 iii their first innings—-M. Read being top with 20. Turner took six wickets for 45. In their second essay bhe New South Wales team lost five wickets for 132 runs, the principal Ecores being: Turner, 10; Donnan, 32 ; Moses, not out, 30. ,
The weather was glorious, bat the wickeb difficult to play.
