The Salvation Army in Auckland are making every preparation for the, reception Of General Booth, who arrives frsm Sydney on Tuesday next in the s.s. Pukaki. p Is expected the steamer, will nofc. arrive till late in the afternoon, so that arrangements are not being made for a meeting on that uight. Adjutantßishopand the other officers of ihe Army propose to give General Booth a "big" reception on his arrival at the wharf, and it 13 hoped that a large muster of the •" soldiers " will be got together." The great leader of the_ Army will conduct two meetings in the City Hall Qn Wednesday, one taking place ab threej o'clockjin tha afternoon and the other atc7.45 in the evening. The subject of the address \|ill be " The Religion of-,Humanibyi" . According to advertisement, no be" reserved later than 15 minutes before advertised time of commencement and no money will be taken at the doors. -|\ j; • General Booth's visit to Auckland will feea very short one, and on Thursday morning) before leaving for the South, he will give an address on "In Darkest England,'and' the Way Out." Special invitations for the meeting are to be issued to of both Houses of the Legislature in Auckland, the Mayor and members of the various Borough Councils, refSresentatiyes of local bodies, prominent /citizens, and others. x";i ■ ■ !
