Rome, October 15.
The Italian papers assert that the Premier showed De Giers the text of the Triple Alliance in order to convince him the terms are all in favour of peace. The Continental press express con-, flirting opinions about De Giers , visit to the King of Italy. St. Petersburg, October 15. The Servian Government has bought a large number of guns for arming fortresses at Odessa. London, October 15. The " St. James Gazette " says that the movements of the Russian expedition to the Pamir Plateau are taking place upon Aighan and Chinese territory. England and China will probably take joint action in the matter. The " Daily Chronicle's " Paris correspondent says the French fleet visits Palerr.no. Paris, October 15.
One Paris house alone has received tender;; sufficient to cover the whole of the Russian loan, and it is expected the amount will be covered several times over.
Admiral Barbey, Minister of Marine, opposes M. Bresson's scheme for a reorganised navy.
The " Gaulois " says Baron Hirsch is the Largest subscriber to the Russian loan.
