Ai LARGE CARGO,
Ab 3 a.m. to-day the U.S.S. Co.'s Island Btearrer Wainui, 640 tons, Capt. G. Crawsbaw, arrived in port from her usual three weeks' trip down to Tonga, Samoa and Fiji bringing back several passengers and one' of the largest cargoes of fruit, Bugar, etc., yeb brought up here from the Islands per steamer. bho had a very large deck-load of oranges, in addition to a full hold of raw eugar, bananas, copra, etc. Of the Steamer's round trip Mr AC- Walker, purser, reports:-" Wo arrived ab Nukualofa (Tonga) from Auckland on Sunday, 27bh ulb. ; discharged cargo and left again at 5 P.m. on 28th ; called at Haapai on the 29bh"and arrived ab Vavau ab 11 p.m. same day' we left Vavau again ab 6 p.m. on the 30th, and dropped anchor in Apia Harbour (Samoa) at 6 a.m. 2nd October ; weighed anchor at 5 p.m. and cleared oublor Fiii, arriving at Suva at 6 a.m. on Monday, the sth. We left Suva same morning for Laucala Bay, took in 328 tons raw and returned to Suva next morning, the 6th, and left again ab 2 o'clock in the afternoon for Vavau. We arrived at Vavau at 3 P m. on the Bth and loaded 4,600 cases oranges, and left same day at 10 p.m. for ; Nukualofa, arriving there ab 3 p.m. on the 9bh Here we embarked mails, passengers and cargo and left at daylight on the 10th Called ab Vileboa Island and pickea up 100 casks whale oil, leaving ab 12 noon for 'Auckland. We experienced fane weather and lighb breezes throughout the voyage, 2nd sighted Mokohinauab 6.30.p.m. yesterday. At noon yesterday we sighted a ship afceedng east."
