THE TRADES CONGRESS.
Melbourne, April 24,
The Trades Congress at Bailarat has carried a resolution to the effect that it is convinced that the general recognition of the eight-hour system can only be obtained by legislation. The Trades Congress has decided in favour of a registered trade mark for goods produced by Union labour.
