STRIKES IN AMERICA.
New Yobk, April 23.
Twelve thousand colliers in Pittsburg have refused to go out on strike for eight hours a day, and their decision has dismayed those who are promoting a general strike in May.
In Scotsdale the cokernen continue a fierce opposition to evictions, and serious disturbances have taken place. The military were called out to preserve order, and during a riot one girl was killed,
