MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Saxon.—The manager reports that at No. 6 level the reel in the eastern drive is 4ft in thickness, and gold is occasionally seen in the stone. This drive has to go another 26fb to roach the break. The reef on the western side of the crosscut has been thrown Sft or 10ft into the hanging-wall owing to a clay formation. However, the drive ia now almost clear of this formation, and the reef is opening out to its usual size and course. Tho manager is now not quite certain whether the break met- with in No. 2 reef is the No. 2main break.aithough it is in the proper position. This will, however, be definitely settled in a few days. Gold was scon on both sides of the break. On the western side a few pounds of picked stone were saved, and on picking up the reef on the eastern side, ib showed gold freely. The reef is 13 inches thick, and presents a promising appearance. Ab No, 5 level bhe winze easb of the No. 2 break ii now 10ft.
