Drunkenness.— Two first offenders were each fined ss, or 24 hours in default. Refusing to Obey Orders.—John bullivan was charged with having yesterday refosed to obey the orders of Joseph Cenez, chief officer of bhe British ship Hermione.— Defendant pleaded guilty, stated thab he was drunk ab bhe time, and promised amendmenb in bhe future.—Joseph Cenez deposed thab be was willing to take the man back under the circumstances.—The Bench accordingly allowed the man to return to the ship. Destitute Persons Act.—Robert George Lendrum was charged with having refused to provide for'the support of the illegitimate phild of Eugenic Alice Dixon.—Mr Theo. Cooper 4 appeared for the complainant; and Mr S. Hesketh for the defendant, who denied the paternity, i The Evidence of bhe complainant was taken yesterday.—JThis morning Mrs Margaret Dixon, Mrs Isabel Jones, Alfred Jones, Mrs Mary Marter, Mrs Margareb Kilpabrick, and David W.
