Timarit, this day. The Supreme Courb Criminal Sessions opened to-day. Judge Denniston said ib was a longer calendar than usual. There were eight prisoners on eleven charges, viz., sheep - stealing, wool • stealing, forgery and uttering, stabbing and larceny. His Honor told the Grand Jury thab all were of bhe very simplest description. E. L. Percival, aged 18, for forging hismother's name to a number of cheques, pleaded guilty, and sentence was deferred. A Maori lad, previously convicted of horsestealing, was sentenced to one year for stealing a saddle.
