HARBOUR BOARD ELECTIONS.
The poll at the Harbour Board offices fa the election of three members by the shipping interests closed ab 6 p.m. yesberday, and aboub seven o'clock bhe result was declared by Mr Prime, Returning Officer, to be as follows :—Henderson, 211 ; Houghton, 143; Alison, 139; Groom, 122 ; Gunson, 97; Bell, 92. Messrs Henderson, Houghton, and Alison were therefore declared elected. There was one informal The City Council members are the Mayor, Messrs Dignan, Crowther and Trenwith. A special meeting of the Dcv onport Borough Council was called for last evening bo elect a representative, and Mr Malcolm Niccol was, on the motion of the Mayor (Mr E- W. Alison X unanimously elected to the position. At the meeting of the Parnell Borough Council Messrs Savage.and G.S. Kissling were proposed, arid the fbrmerwas elected by-four votes to three. Mr J. H. Witheford was elected by the Birkenhead Borough Council to represent that body, '
