m&— THIS AFTERNOON'S GATHERING. Thk second day's meeting of bhe New Zealand Amabeur Abhlebic Association and Cyclisbs' Alliance for the championships is being held in the Domain this afternoon. The turf is in magnificent order for the running events, and owing to the facb bhat no wind is blowing, some big records promise bo be made during the afternoon. Hunter's band is in attendance discoursing a choice musical programme, and, as usual, Mr J. Halyday, bhe local Secretary, and bhe other officials are working hard to bring bhe day's proceedings to a successful issue. The firsb evenb sbarted ab one o'clock, when fully 3,000 spectators were presenb. The abtendance promises to be very large. The following are the results of the events decided up to the hour we went to prese :— 120 Yards Handicap. first heat. First and second only to run in final. J. M. King (Wellington), scratch ... 1 J.
