FRIDAY. (Before Dr. Giles, R.M.) The Victorian Insurance Company (Limited) v. Executors of the late D. Oxley (Deceased).—Claim, £23 11s Bd.— Mr A. Brock appeared for the plaintiff company and Mr S. Hoekath for the defendants.—This was a claim for premiums for insurance on two vessels, the Meetwing and Opotiki.—Mr John Reid, agent for the piaiutiff company, gave evidence of the proposals for insurance having been signed by the late Mr D. Oxley and that the amount was still unpaid.—The executors contested the action on the grounds that the amount claimed had been included in certain other accounts rendered and settled. —After hearing Mr Reid's evidence and examining the accounts His Worship gave judgment for the plaintiff company for £23 lls'Sd, with £4 5s costs.
