GRAND LODGE OF NEW ZEALAND.
This evening -will take place in the Freemasons' Hall, Princes-streeC, the first Bitting in thia city of; the Grand Lodge of New Zealand. To Masons generally this communication is an important one, as it marks an epoch in t<hfi progress of the craft in this part of the colony. Therefore, a large gathering , may be expected this evening , . The Grand Master and Southern officers will be in attendance. Arrangements have been made to give the visiting brethren a suitable reception. The Board of General Purposes wae to have m6t this morning, bub the delay of the officers necessitated an adjournment. To-nighb the ordinary routine business of tho Grand Lodge will be transacted and later on a banquet will take place in the refectory hall.
On Wednesday evening the ball will take place in the Masonic Hall, which should be a brilliant afl'air, as the brethren will be in regalia, and the Decoration Committee are working energetically to make the hall more than usually attractive.
