CENTRAL LIBERAL COMMITTEE.
'■ At a meeting of the Central Liberal Committee held last evening, ib was resolved to aek Mr J. M. Shera to consent to nomination on the Liberal " ticket," and an influential requisition to that gentleman having been presented, he consented to stand, intimating at the same time his intention to resign'if Sir George Grey's health recovers sufficiently to enable him to re-enter parliament. ' The Central Liberal Committee announce in another column that Messrs VV. L. Ilees, W. J. Napier, and J. M. Shera have boon elected on the " Liberal tickets " for Auckland city.
