Definite and reliable information as to jjhe presenb attitude of bhe Denniston Unionist miners is available to-day. The report that tho men intended to take a ballot as to resuming is unfounded. They are firm in their determination to fight out to the bitter end. The Unionists admit there is no chance of work for them this year, bub consider matters are shaping in their favour. One hundred pounds strike donation has been received from the Amalgamated Miners' Association of Australasia. The New Zealand Co - operative Coalmining Association parby, of Denniston miners, who aro said to have some oubsido connection, have made proposals to purchase the New Cardiff Company's property ab Mokahinui, and to work it on the profitsharing sysbem. Tho offer will be considered by the Company. The labour leaders in this district hare received no instructions to resume work.
