At the Warden's Court to-day the following licensed holdings, wore g" ran ted :—Sunbeam, Cracksnot, Midas, Junction, Mountain Flower, Emerald, M arm ion, Occidental, British, Ballarat, Rising Sun, and Deep Sinker. Cambria.—The whole of thereof in the rise has now been broken down, bub no further picked atone waa obtained, bhough good colours of gold'wertf freely seeh. Tho work of stripping the reef will ba resumed as soon as a. couple of sets of timber have been put in. ... May Queen..— -In .fhe eastern or hillward drive, on No. 4 reef, & cross lode has been met with. It is 6or 8 inches thick, and is croisino: the face at'about right angle!?, and has had'the effect of cutting off No. 4 reef altogether. It has been cut through, in one or two places, and quartz veins are observed to be making on the other side, so that the reef will probably be found to be making again, though this cannot be definitely determined for a day or two. There is no material change to report in the sfcopee, thovigh in some of them the reef is a little smaller than usual. Saxon.—A , commencement has been made to rise on the new reef at No. 5 level to meet the winze being sunk from No. 4 level. Repairs to the water-race will be completed on Saturday (to-morrow), and the batteries will thus be able co resume work as usual on Monday morning.
Royal Oak (Coromandel).—Since last report there has been a slight improvement in the mind. In breaking down the reef west of the croas-lead, a low stones were get showing gold freely. Tho run continues going up. Tho reef at preeent ia well defined throughout, and more favourable indications are coming in both aides of the cross-lead. There has been nothing new to report from tho tributers. —P. Reid, manager. Vizaed's.—The manager reports that the reef in.- the.winze is looking well, .from which he obtained 71ba picked stone laat Friday. In breaking down the reef yesterday we obtained 41b of good specimens and-a , faw picked stones. Arise has been started over the No. 2 winze, and there ia a fine reef here which looks well for gold.
Nkw Moanataiari. —The manager telegraphed this morning: "201b of picked stone from western drive on the reef at 100 ft level, and 301b from the third stope footwall lode."
