TYPOGRAPHICAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of bhe Auckland Typograph- j ical Association was held on Saturday ( evening last, in Robson's Rooms. The report of the deputation which recently waited on the master printers in reference to tha rules was received, and was considered very satisfactory. Tho final arrangements are lefb in the hands of a Committee, wibh power to act. It is expected that all the printing offices will be.working under the rules by the 28fch October, Demonstration day. The following resolution was passed in connection wibh some letters about the strike levy :—" That this meeting regrets to find one member of tho Society, under an anonymous signature, objecting through the press to the levy recently struck, when |b would have been more manly and creditable to have done so in open meeting—both pheresolutionsfor strikng andcontinuingthe flevy having been carried by unanimous yobes. As one of the chief objects of the society is to endeavour to improve the pocial condition of its members, bub not ab (bhe expense of their morality, ib is hereby resolved bhab the Secretary be instructed, in order to enable * A Taipo' to meet his obligations to bis butcher and baker, to refund the sum of 10s already paid towards the levy on application by the said writer."
