ANOTHER CARGO STEAMER. THE NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY'S FLEET. THE S.S. SEA KING. Every endeavour bo keep apace wibh bhe increasing exporb trade of the colony is being made by bhe various shipping companies concerned in New Zealand's commerce, and bhe New Zealand Shipping Company is to bhe fore with ample sbeam bonnage for the nexb half-dozen years, ab any rate. Within the last twelve months they have added some splendid cargo carriers to thenfleet, and besides two new steamers now building ab Home, we learn thab they have just secured, another.vessel, which: is described. as a splendid cargo -beamer;. This is the s.s. Sea King, whose name will probably be changed to the Otarawa before she comes out to tho colony. The!. Sea King is a perfectly new vessel,' having been launched at Sunderland, from the yard of Messrs Doxfdrd and SohsJ only lasb April.- She is a steel steamship of 2,460 tons net, and 3,808 tons, gross register. Her lengbh is 365fb ; beam, 44fb 2in ; and depth of hold, l9fb 2ih. Her indicated horse power is 450, and she is classed 100 A! ab Lloyd's. This fine vessel will be fitted.with all. the latest improvements, and will have excepbianally large space for frozen meat and dairy produce. 1: " '■'■» The Sea King will probably make Auckland her first porb of call.
