Wellington, this day. From accounts presented to the City Council, ib appears that some £10,000 had been spent on drainage during tho lasb three years. This is only patchwork, nob being parb of any completed sysbem, and bhe Mayor remarked ib was mosb unpleasant to reflect that this money had been spent ineffectively. The city overdraft is £15,803.
